News: 5 days agoWilliams, who has already been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Milwaukee, will remain sidelined for Chicago's back-to-back set Friday versus Atlanta and Saturday versus Memphis after he underwent imaging that revealed inflammation in his surgically repaired left foot, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Spin: The 23-year-old previously underwent surgery in February to address what was originally diagnosed as an acute bone edema, then deemed a stress reaction. Williams' flare-up could help explain why he was limited to 15 points on 5-for-19 shooting from the field over the Bulls' previous two contests, which came after he averaged a healthy 14.0 points on 48.9 percent shooting across the preceding five contests. With Williams now ruled out for the Bulls' next three games, his earliest opportunity to return to action will come next Tuesday against Washington.
